whats the name of the company with the fake ceramic dwarf that is advertising for a company that sells you vacations ? or if you have a site that can give you free quotes, for hotel & airplane, thanks :)

You're thinking of the "roaming gnome" featured in Travelocity commercials. Check out http://www.travelocity.com for the quotes, hotels, and more. Travelocity is great, but you can also check out http://www.expedia.com or  http://www.priceline.com Those are all pretty good alternatives.
