Airline ticket query????

i have a ticket to cyprus booked on cyprus airlines, they mis spelt my name, on my passport its debbie neill and on the ticket they have put deby nill, i am worried they wont let me on the plane but they are insisting (the travel agent and cyprus airline) that it doesnt need to be changed because the law says that three letters from each word can be spelt wrong! i am not convinced and dont want hassle at the airport my partner and my daughters names are spelt right, am going next week, does this sound right??? am going from london heathrow

  1. this happens all the time.  They get names switched around and spelled wrong.   I am not sure about the 3 letters per word clause but it sounds about right.  If you have your ticket in hand and your passport you will have no problems, especially with your entire family with you.  remember that you will be checking in with Cyprus air and they are the ones that made the mistake in the first place. they will issure your boarding pass and you can ask them to change the spelling at that time.
