I have extensive work travel coming up and dont want to leave my travel kitty home. What are my options for bringing him with me. Work will not be paying extra for him. Logan is 18lbs. What airlines have the cheapest & safest service? I dont want to put him in the cargo hold.

  1. 1)  nobody is going to do this for free

    2)  18# is one fat kitty.  I am doubting he will fit under seat in front of you, so into the hold he will go

    3)  kennel the poor thing!  I am sure he would rather be looked after by professionals in one place, than schlepped around and left alone while you work....

    4)  to comment on your edit:  if you want info re specific airlines, give the specific routes you want to fly!

  2. i dont know but you should check the airline company that your gonna go on. i up to some point in weight you can keep it in your cat hand back. thats a maybe so check.

  3. You need to call in the expert as transporting live animals is very complex different countries have different regulations and quarantine rules.

Animals are required to travel in crates in the cargo hold. I am unaware of any airline that lets animals to be carried free.

  4. you have to make advance arrangements with the airlines concerned. all airlines charge extra for per in cabin. the rate is the same as excess baggage charges per kilo. i cant tell u the amount as i donot know between which points u will be travelling.  But, in any case, u must get approval from the airline concerned before hand.
