Airliners, reverse thrust?

Question

Please see the attached video. It seems more often than not airliners when landing go into full reverse thrust before the nose gear touches down. How long before seems to varry. In the case of one of these landing about 7 seconds before. Is this a standard procedure?

I usually deploy reversers as soon as the mains touch the runway. With rear fuselage mounted engines, the center of gravity is then shifted rearward which helps to lower the nose to the ground more gently. As with most things, this can be taken to extremes, so I don't take the reversers beyond idle thrust until the nose has been planted.
