  1. With the high price of fuel, airlines are needing to cut back on flights/capacity.  Some airlines are merging or forging stronger ties/alliances with other carriers.  I would not be surprised to see 1 or 2 carriers fold because of the price of fuel.  It is sad to see the airlines in this situation.  It is estimated the airline industry will lose $7.2 billion this year.


  2. Airlines are in crisis because of high oil prices. And therefore the price of kerosene-airplane fuel. Even airplanes are very expensive, so they must fly so many hours per day as possible. A airplane such as Boeing 777 costs some 200 million dollars. And lots of airlines buy planes on lease. Air tickets also are getting more and more expensive so people don't fly so much often as they were used before when tickets were more cheaper than nowadays.

  3. its because of the high gas prices. millions of travellers this year will not travel because of it.(like me, maybe)
