Ok so i'm goin on a plane tomorrow. I'm flying northwest if that helps. I'm taking a beach bag and my carry on suitcase cause you can take a brief case or purse on the plane and yeah. I wanted to bring my stuffed penguin too but he's too big too put in the suitcase. Cani just carry him around or would i have to check my suitcase in order to do that.

  1. these days i think your allowed 2 items for carry on, so if you could stuff him into the suitcase and make it look like 2 items then that would work, otherwise, your going to have to pick which 2 you want to bring, and you will have to check the other one

  2. i bet you could carry him on, a lot of people bring their own pillows, unless hes really humongous

  3. yeah i think you can just carry that little guy in your hand. because i just got back from an air trip, i flew continental, and i took my carry-on and a bag pack. and i think i had more junk they don't really say anything about it. i mean people take their own pillows and 2 carry-ons sometimes you know? so i guess that wont be a problem. because you put one carry-on up top, and one under the seat, and then you can carry your penguin on your lap :)

  4. You are allowed exactly 2 carry-on items, one carry-on bag and a personal item such as a briefcase, laptop, handbag/purse, etc.  If your penguin friend won't fit in either of those 2 items, he would be considered a 3rd item.  I'd say if you really need your penguin friend to be with you for the flight, check the bag.

  5. You should be able to take your penguin with you as long as it can fit in the storage bin

  6. I think you can just carry him around, last year I flew the same exact company, and I carried a pretty good sized duck stuffed animal and I already had a carry-on. You might be able to get away with it, unless the flight people just feel like being a jerk that day, but you should be okay

  7. It has to be able to fit in your carry on to take on the plane. otherwise, you need to put it in your cargo luggage.

Edit: If you have one carry on, you can use it as your second one. If you already have 2 carry ons, the penguin has to fit in one of those carry ons.

  8. depending on the airline you should be able too.

i know southwest, delta, and continental let you.

    do mine?

  9. Airlines are getting stricter on their carry-on policies.  Many now allow only 1 suitcase and either a purse, briefcase, or laptop.  I tried carrying a beach bag besides on an AirTran flight and security in Florida said no way, you have to fit that all into one bag or check a bag in.  So I had to go into the restroom and struggle to fit everything into one bag.  My suggestion:  Don't take it if you don't really need it.  Try to fit everything into one suitcase.  By the way, I once squeezed a stuffed animal into my suitcase.  It looked okay when I got home.

  10. yah you can just carry it.

i had the same stuff and i carried my pillow and small blanket with me.

have fun on your trip :)

  11. i think your only aloud one thing on as hand lugage, everything else has to be in the underneeth (cant remeber the word)

  12. You could carry him on if you weren't carrying on one of the other bags. You can only have the purse/briefcase and one item of carry-on luggage.

  13. i think you can just carry him around. the last time i went on a plane i brought a carry on suitcase and my purse. but it also depends on the size of your penguin. if hes ridiculously huge, probably not. if hes the size of an average stuffed animal, i think it would be fine

  14. You are correct! you would have to check your suitcase. they are getting real picky. call and see!
