Question:

Airplane tickets advice?

I have to buy a return with outbound date 22-28 June and returning 4 October. I haven't bought it yet cause same guys told me that you can get cheaper tickets from lastminute.com the closer the travelling date is. Last week the price was 416 and now it is about 460 pounds. Are the tickets actually going to fall or just keep rising till they hit 800 or so?

  1. They will keep rising. Gas is very expensevie and the closer they get gas goes up. which makes them have to rasie their prices. the only chance you have is on the day of the flight. But it is to risky i suggest buy it now.

  2. They will rise as your booking at the last minute. Plus with the credit crunch, and the cost of oil, the prices are going to increase dramatically.

I'd advise you to purchase your tickets now rather than at the last minute.

  3. I have found the air travel tickets actually rise in price the closer it gets to the flight, I always book mine at least six weeks in advance.

  4. Normal airline prices carry on rising but charter flights can become cheaper closer to the day but you must book through the actual airline as its cheaper.

  5. Once in a while you can get a super cheap ticket by booking last minute. But in this day and age you will probably end up paying more. Airlines are overbooking because of fuel prices so there is no need for them to give out cheap last minute fares.

You need to book it now and be done with it.

  6. The ticket prices rise and rise. So if you book it the week before you go, it will be very expensive.

    Do not rely on lastminute.com.

They only have some offers and all other flights & holidays are more expensive than booking it through the airline

  7. Cheaper fares sell out first so price is going to go up and up.Airlines are also adding extra fuel surcharges again so the sooner you book the cheaper it will be.
