Airplane tickets during the holidays?

So i have noticed that airport tickets tend to rise once it starts getting closer to the holidays. But i was wondering if they get cheaper after the holidays

This is hard to say, since gas prices are rising through the ceiling. Airlines are at the edge of bankruptcy, and I think that prices will rise in the coming months. Some expect that some of the airlines will have to file for bankruptcy in 2009, but that are of course mere speculations.
