My mom, dad, and I are gonna go to Texas this Thanksgiving to see my aunt and uncle. I live in Indiana so we'll be leaving from Indianapolis for sure and landing somewhere in Houston, Texas. So at the most, how much would a ticket be per person to go? Thanks! =)

  1. Check out Northwest they are pretty cheap. I fly with them a lot and have a world perks account with elite status (100908261974). I just enter that code into my reservation and get free upgrades if possible also i get access to the elite clubs located at airports. Northwest if one of the best I've flown on.

  2. Thanksgiving is a pretty expensive time to travel and by now most, if not all of the seats in the lower fare buckets will already be gone.  It helps to know your dates of travel since the Wednesday prior and the Sunday after are going to generally have the highest fares.

If you travel on Thanksgiving day itself, the Friday after, or even on Saturday often the fares are usually better.  Obviously, these are the least popular travel days to travel which is why fares are lower - there are more empty seats to fill.

The good news is that there appear to still be some fairly reasonably priced flights left at about $350 per person r/t if you are a bit flexible in your travel times/days.  As for the most you could pay - it depends on when you buy and when you travel, but fares could easily get as high as $1000 per person r/t.

    Safe travels!
