Airplane tickets - when do they generally go on sale? are the cheapest?

The rule is the earlier you book, the cheaper it will be. Thats always the case.

well closer to the date they get more expensive right up to about the last 24 hours. you will probably pay the same price now, that you will up until about two weeks before. if you can take the risk, you can get really cheap tickets right before the flight.

go to spirit airlines.  they usually have great deals.

it's cheaper if you're travelling on a tuesday to thursday.

ticket prices goes up and down.  with the gas $$$ going sky high ... it's probably better to buy your ticket soon
