Airport carry-ons?

I'm flying for my first time on Friday. So these might seem like stupid questions, but I don't know much about it. I looked and saw on the internet that you can bring 3 oz or less bottles of shampoo-etc.

But, I was curious if the following are allowed:

IPOD touch (it doesn't interfere with any technical things on a plane does it??)

Small video camera

Makeup (eyeshadow/mascara/concealer/powder-etc)

--Is there a weight limit to your carry-on (not that mine is that heavy)? Is there a limit of bags you can take with you?

  1. Ipod - No problem

    VidCam - Same

Makeup - as long as it is in containers under 3 ozs and all containers fit in one zip lock plastic bag.  That's for liquids and pastes, etc, not things like pencils.

There is no weight limit per se for carryons-there is a size limit, check with your airline.  You may carry on 1 bag and 1 personal item that should fit under a seat.  There is also no limit on the number bags you can check, but depending on the airline there may be a charge for each bag which escalates the more you have.
