Airport hotels: Dubai International?

Question

Hi guys... i'm travelling with my seven year old son next week, i'll be stopping over at Dubai International and staying at the Dubai International Hotel... as anyone ever stayed there? How is it, and is it close to the International Departures lounge. This is the first time i'm travelling alone with my son and i'm a bit worried... help!!! Thanks a mill....

It's great.

Once I got an opportunity to stay at Dubai International Hotel while traveling with Emirates from India to Qatar (the flight was delayed from Dubai). Food and Rooms are great there, and enjoyed my one and half day stay over there.

Please see this "The deluxe five star Dubai International Hotel is located on the Arrivals level of sheikh Rashid Terminal and occupies a further 2 floors above that. Consisting of 88 beautifully appointed rooms. Ranging from Royal Suite to Deluxe rooms. All services, such as room and laundry services are available 24 hours a day. All rooms are equipped with an Interactive Television through which you can receive high speed internet access as well as place room service order."

This is very close to the International Departure lounges and no need to worry about anything. The hotel people will guide you to reach the departure lounge of yours.

Probably the most modern hotel in the world and one of the most expensive.  Rooms $2000+, $9000+, $14,000+.
