Is there an airport in wellington NZ? What is it called and what is the airport code? Thanks for the help.

yes there is an airport in Wellington NZ, it is called Wellington International airport, there is also Wellington domestic airport joined to it.

I don't know what you mean about the code unless you mean the WGTN labels stuck to your luggage.

Just to add... Wellington International Airport (code WLG) can be pretty hairy to fly into sometimes... it gets very windy there, and the runway is quite short with water (the sea) on either end. I've had a couple of white-knuckled landings before!!

Hi, I live 5 minutes from Wellington Airport. I'll try not to repeat what the others said. Wellington airport is located at the southern tip of the North Island. In the suburb of Miramar. It is 5 minutes from Lyall Bay beach. Wellington airport promotional scheme has the slogan "wild at heart". Celebrating Wellingtons ruggard coast, forests and windy weather. The airport has various cafes and shops just like any other international airport and has been recently refurnished.
