Airport security question?

ok will security tell you to take every piece of jewelry off? because I got my ears pierced like two days ago...and I don't want the whole to close...and I am leaving the 17 of July

  1. No, not all jewelry. You will have to remove your watch and your belt. Don't wear any jewelry that is particulary big and clunky.


  2. They won't tell you to take anything off, they'll just say that you have to take enough metal objects off so that you don't set off the detector.  You get two tries at it.  If you fail the first they let you go back and take more things off.  If you fail the second, you get an automatic "random" search.

    Earings should be fine.  I usually take off my watch and belt, and I put my cell phone and iPod in the little containers.  That typically does the trick.
