Airport tower operator or traffic attendant?

Does any one know how to become an airport tower operator, or how to become the ground attendant who holds two red light sticks and direct planes where to take off or land?

Thank you very much.

  1. Max,

The guys in the airport towers work for the FAA and they are air traffic controllers. They have gone to  the FAA school for that, and it is pretty demanding work.

The guy that holds the red wands is a ramp serviceman and  he directs the aircraft while parking and taxiing out of the parking area. He also loads and unloads the aircraft, drives ground equipment and does other jobs as well.

    Regards,

    Dan
