  1. There's an ATVO shuttle bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma in Venice for 3 euro. Travel time is 20 minutes.

You can also take the boat directly from the airport into Venice - prices are higher. There's a shuttle bus from the terminal to the pier.  For specific schedules and prices see: http://www.alilaguna.com/?funzione=1&con...

The airport website (English version) is: http://www.veniceairport.it/core/index.j...

  2. If you have the money, take the water taxi, went on one a few years ago and they are great fun, but a little expensive.

  3. there is no train at all from the airport!!! who told you this???

Take bus from Airport to Venice Piazzale Roma (end of journey).

    Buses can be:

-actv (orange color, running every 30 minutes)

    ticket: 2 euro

    -ATVO (blue color)

Buy tickets inside of the arrival hall then find (easily) the stops out of the airport.

Duration of journey journey: 20-30 minutes approx.

    From Venice Piazzale Roma:

    public boat ACTV

    Ticket: 6 euro

Buy ticket at the ticket office open at every stop. If ticket office is closed, ask on board.

the line you need depends on where is your hotel.

Line 1 goes along the Grand Canal, for instance

anyway, if you use the search engine on this page and you write "airport venice" in it, you will find all questions and answers concerning this topic.

    ciao!

by the way, there is also "alilaguna" service. It is a boat going from airport to Venice without changing. See one of the other answers here. They give you the link.

  4. There are several ways to get into Venice from Marco Polo.

    1. The quickest and easiest and the most expensive (60 to 80 Euro) is by water Taxi. Unfortunately you have to walk down a long out door covered side walk (if it rains your ruined) down to the piers.

    2. Taxi (4 wheels) to Piazzale Roma (abt 35 Euro) and then a vaporetto (6 Euro each and in theory you have to pay for your baggage too) as close to your hotel as possible and then walk. If you have more than a carry on you'll go slow for you may have bridges to traverse.

    3. Bus to Piazzale Roma (2 euro each) & vaporetto.

    4. There is a water bus service from the air port that costs about 20 Euro each but the darn things takes a life time to get to san Marco or the Zattere and unless you have your hotel close by it's not worth the money.

Best bet - take a taxi straight to your hotel. If your hotel doesn't have a private dock then have the cabbie call to arrange for a porter to come meet the taxi to lend a hand with the bags.
