Airport transfers in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic?

I am visiting the Dominican Republic in late June and wanted to know if it is better to take a taxi or arrange a transfer from SDQ to the Juan Dolio area. Would love to know the approx. cost difference.

If you booked with a tour operator, the transfer from SDQ airport to Juan Dolio is included. Other while it will cost you around 40us for a taxi (taking in mind fuel prices!!) 30us was the rate few months ago.

i went once and we took a coach bus to our resort, by the way they can have crazy driving!

A taxi from SDQ to Juan Dolio will cost $30 - $60 US. Up to 4 people will fit in most taxis. Make sure you agree on a price before you get into the car. They are not metered.
