Going on holiday soon and totally confused. Please help!

Can i carry electronics in my bag and take it on the plane? i wanna take my IPod and DS from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur.

Taking food is not allowed right? but what about travel sick pills and paracetamol for headaches and stuff?

Going to Malaysia will i need a mains adaptor or is the voltage coming from the sockets the same as in England?

  1. you can take everything on a plane just not liquid from outside the security check and you can get a drink in the departure lounge and take it on the plane, all electronics are fine on the plane just not mobile phone but ds and ipod are ok also pills are fine to take on a plane and the electric isnt as powerful over there but all you electronic things will be fine as long as you have a plug adaptor

  2. you can take your ipod and ds on the flight no probs. keep the pills in the orignal packets so airport staff can see what they are. striclty no food or liquids over 100ml in hand luggage

  3. electrics can be brought on in a bag but must be turned off at all times as this can interfeer with the pilots navigation and radio signals etc. food is not allowed. travel sick pills and paraceatmol are allowed they will have pharmacys in the airport for tablets and sleeping pills to take on the plane. youll need some kinda of different plug to replace cause the voltage will be different and the plug shape will too.

  4. I always carry electronics as hand luggage as they may get damaged or lost with the case and will not like the cold temperatures of the plane hold. They are allowed as long as switched off.

240v 3 pin standard as u.k but some have 2pin socket. Take European adaptor just in case.

Never had a problem with medicines and usually carry them. Point them out and chances are they will be o.k. If not they will take them away.

  5. I dont know alot about this stuff but here is a link good luck I hope I helped=]

  6. I recently took a plane trip and this is what the airport required: You may take a carry-on bag with you that has all of your electronics. Do not put your camera in your luggage, because the screening those bags go through will erase all of your pictures. You can bring food onto the plane but the liqid has to be in a 3 oz. container or smaller and the containers have to all fit in a quart size bag. I am not positive but I think medicine is allowed but the same restrictions apply to the liquid meds as they would to any other liquid. I traveled within the US so the restrictions may not apply to your flight or they may be even stricter. I apologize if any of my information is incorrect. I hope I helped but like I said, I traveled within the US.
