Airports in Ireland?

I am planning a trip from The USA to Ireland (gort to be exact) can anyone please tell me the closest airport to there? thanks

shannon airport in county clare is the nearest international airport to gort.

Aer lingus offer flights from jfk to shannon for  about $700 dollars return not sure if thats expensive as the euro has a higher value than the  dollar

There are three that come to mind, Belfast, DUB (Dublin), and SNN (Shannon).

Depending on where you're flying out from, the prices could vary. Sometimes SNN is the cheapest, but I'm in FL.

Hi, Closest International Airport is Shannon. It's approx thirty min drive from Shannon to Gort. Internal closest one is Galway Airport but that would only work for you if you flew from Dublin to Galway (45min Flight). From Galway airport to gort is about twenty fivemin drive.

If I was you I'd look to fly to Shannon and hire a car or get the bus from there to Gort.

there are numerous airports in ireland (and not two as some here are saying)

Shannon airport is the closest to gort approx 25-30 miles away

knock airport which has flights to the USA is the next nearest about 70 miles away

Cork airport (not sure if they have flights to the states though) is approx 100 miles

Dublin airport easily the busiest international airport on the island is approx 125 miles from gort
