Airsoft Grenade? Do you need a Launcher or just the Shell?

Im thinking about getting a grenade launcher to shoot the BBs out of the shell. Or Can you just buy the shell and push a button on the back? Also is it safe if my question is true and you just have to push a button on the back?

You need the launcher.  The shell operates just a gas bb type magazine.

You do not need a launcher for an airsoft grenade. The grenade will release the bb's once it has impacted.  If you need to launch the grenade further than your arm can throw then you will need the launcher.
