Airsoft gas gun?

Question

I recently got a gas airsoft gun that came with a propane adaptor. The seller said it would save me money.

Is the gas I use with the adaptor the same as paintball guns and if not, where do I get it?

Is it a lot cheaper than green gas?

How do I tell when the gun is full of gas?

Is there a way to stop the gas coming out of the canister or do I have to use the whole thing?

Propane adapter? i've never heard of that, the only thing i know of is the tippmann c3 paintball gun that runs of propane. Are your sure it wasn't Co2? if it is then you would want 12 gram Co2 cartrages. Also i would imagine the seller would have explained what to use. Green gas is fairly cheap, i would just go with that.
