Airsoft guns average fps?

My friends and I did a battle the other day, One of my friends bought one of the slamfire shotguns from walmart (the $25) one which says it can go up to 230 FPS i was in walmart and checked the other slamfire shotgun double pack (get a pistol with it) for 35 the shotgun in that set it says goes up to 350 fps. MY question is, has anyone done a chrono test to see if this is true. As i have a utg multishot shotgun that does 270-280 that costed me around $120 (after the .25 ksc bb's for $17 and 6 extra shells for $14). I have a hard time believing that a "walmart" crossman airsoft shotgun has more FPS. Then my utg.

  1. Its more like 320 with .2s .that crosman is actually a rebrand of a UTG shotgun. They just put the Crosman label on it. So a UTG is higher than your UTG!

I think you were ripped of with the multishot I've seen em on evike.com for only 50 bucks. I also believe if you use .25s in it the FPS goes down even lower to the 240-250 area. But they are accurate though....

I still think you should use .2s.

    But thats just an opinion.

So the lesson here is crosman shotguns are Utg shotguns and the heavier your BBs are the less FPS you got and vice verca...

    Hope this helps!

  2. Yours does have more fps. The fps on your shotgun is measured with .2 gram bbs that are heavier, and make it go slower, but that shotgun is measured with .12s. If you're gun is 280 with .2s, the wal-mart shotgun is more like 230-250. it is actually not 350 but 300 with .12s. So don't worry, your utg shotgun is quite a bit faster.
