Airsoft guns help???

i got some helpful stuff but now what i need to know is my friend is only 13 and i need a gun that wouldnt hurt him to bad as o actually breaking and geting in the skin so what gun is good for that.

a battery powered airsoft gun with plastic pellets. me and my brothers shoot each other with them all the time and they don't really hurt. it's like a little tiny sting but nothing more. and it doenst matter how close you are.

First off, as any responsible airsofter will tell you: Airsoft Guns are not TOYS.

Electric Powered Guns (AEG's) - which means they are powered by batteries are designed to fire at least 250 feet per second. Trust me, it will BREAK the skin if you shoot it less than a distance of 15-20  feet. In airsoft games, you're not even allowed to shoot closer than that (its deemed a kill) to provide for the safety of all people.

Even at the "safe range" it WILL leave bruises.

Gas Blowback Guns (GBB's) - powered by gas (meaning you have to load it up from a container) fire at the same or greater strength than electric powered ones. Same precautions are enforced with AEG's.

Spring guns are powered using a spring that you **** back to fire a shot. While generally weaker than AEG's or GBB's, they can still cause harm if not used properly.

Now, to answer your question - it doesn't matter what gun you buy, if you're going to have a game, wear the proper safety gear, and shoot from beyond the minimum recommended distance.

there is a minimum distance you have to shoot from which is 20 feet but really if your that far away at the minimum distance it really shouldnt break the skin.

Really, you could get any gun you want, you just need to be safe. but cheap electric guns are never going to break skin, and wal-mart springers wont do much either.

if you go to realistictoyguns.com you can find a couple guns under mid grade aegs in the airsoft section that would be good for what your doing. and they're automatic. I got my first aeg there for $40 or so.
