wats the difference between guns that shoot pellets nd guns that shoot bbs?.i want to get a good a sniper that will shoot a good distance nd 4 a good price.nd wat is the difference betweens spring guns , gas guns nd battery powered guns,which 1s ar d best?can u use those pelltes that look like bullets in a gun tat uses bbs.i want to know all ther is to no about airsoft guns so please answer

  1. It sounds like you're mixing up airsoft with traditional airguns.  Airsoft shoot 5mm plastic "BBs".  The battery powered models are great at shooting semi-auto.  Gas guns are more powerful, and spring guns are cheaper.

    If you want to shoot pellets, you need an airgun.  They come in many calibers, but .177 is the most common, and that's the same size as a BB.  However, that doesn't mean the gun can shoot BBs.  Many guns can switch to BBs (more penetration) to pellets (more knockdown power and accuracy), but many cannot.

    If you truly want a gun to shoot a good distance, look for a break action spring piston pellet rifle that shoots at least 1,000 FPS with .177 cal pellets.  These can be found for less than $100.

    If you are really after Airsoft, you aren't going to get NEAR the distance as with a traditional airgun.  Then again, they are much less likely to cause serious harm to someone (or something) you shoot.
