Aisling Scott shines in the 200m Individual Medley - 2011 Australian Age Championships

Aisling Scott has won the Girl’s 17-18yrs 200m Individual Medley event with a fabulous time of 2:20.07 at the end of day four of the 2011 Australian Age Championships in Adelaide on April 21.
Scott will be looking forward to improve her bronze in the Girl’s 17-18yrs 100m breast-stroke earlier this week. After the 200m IM, Scott took a huge sigh of relief as it was one of the most challenging races for her this morning.
On the other hand, Tessa Wallace wound up second in 2:21.87 and Victoria’s Holly Brettle placed third in a time of 2:21.98.
Kenneth To captured the Boy’s 17-18yrs 200m IM meet with a time of 2:06.84, while Justin James of Mackay grabbed the second place in 2:06.87 and Matson Lawson of Victoria settled third in 2:08.69.
In the Girl’s 14yrs 400m freestyle, Remy Fairweather snatched the first spot with a winning time of 4:24.10. On the other hand, Rachael Mihatsch of Melbourne Vicentre captured second place in a time of 4:27.13 and Bayside’s Emma Reid wound up third in 4:28.01.
In the Boy’s 14yrs 400m freestyle, Mack Horton finished first with a brilliant time of 4:07.72. However, Mitch Phillips placed second in 4:07.91 and Hayden Rea of Queensland finished third in a time of 4:13.73.
Meanwhile, the Girl’s 16yrs 200m breast-stroke event was captured by Kate Dimou with a time of 2:36.58. Carlee Millikin snared the second spot with a brilliant time of 2:37.24 and Sarah Baker of SOPAC nabbed the third place in a time of 2:39.78.
Jordan Chivers clinched the Boy’s 16yrs 200m breast-stroke with a stunning time of 2:21.66. Lennard Bremer of WA snatched the second place in a time of 2:23.53, while Jake Packard of Queensland settled third in a time of 2:24.27.
Hayley Baker of Victoria picked up the top seed in the Girl’s 15yrs 400m IM with a remarkable time of 5:00.49. On the other side, Tianni Gilmour qualified for the final meet with the fastest time of 5:01.32 and Carla Buchanan had to settle third with a time
of 5:03.12.
Bradlee Ashby of New Zealand won the Boy’s 15yrs 400m IM event with a genuine time of 4:38.58. Amazingly, Ashby had confirmed his spot for the final meet in Adelaide.
Meanwhile, Andy Lau of the United States of America had also qualified for the final by grabbing the second place in the 400m IM with a splendid time of 4:41.44 and Liam Rayfield of Queensland wound up third in a time of 4:42.27.
The Adelaide crowd was just phenomenal and supported the swimmers, as they witnesses some breathtaking and versatile performances in swimming today.
