Friday, August 17, in Singapore.
The higher ranked Aiying, who is second seed in Women’s Singles main draw, showed her elevated class on court and she easily stamped her mark over Hsiao Huan who was the seventh seeded shuttler in the championship.
The second seeded Aiying was invincible on court as she played with complete command over the pace of rallies in the entire battle and consumed just 38 minutes to send her rival packing by ending up the match in straight sets.
The lower ranked Taipei shuttler, on the other hand, could not show her brilliance and also failed to continue her winning run as she was helpless against the positive and aggressive play of Aiying and lost the match with a comfortable margin.
Both shuttlers played competitive badminton in the opening rallies of first game. However, it was Aiying who started to take strong position by accelerating her speed.
The local player showed her tremendous skills on court and remained successful in setting up a remarkable lead on score board until the mid-game break.
After the interval, Aiying did not let her Taipei opponent to narrow the gap as she continued her aggressive play without facing any trouble and eventually ended up the opening battle with a six-point advantage of 21-15.
In the second game, Hsiao Huan employed all of her skills to stop the progress of her higher ranked Singapore opponent but she failed to match the pace of rallies and also remained behind her rival on score board until the one-minute interval.
The impressive Aiying, in the meanwhile, remained composed and she continued her positive run in the concluding phase of second game and finished it off with a wonderful margin of 21-15.
The in-form Aiying made her fans happy by beating Hsiao Huan in semi-final battle with a comfortable 21-15 and 21-15 margin on the board.
