Ajax Amsterdam’s Boerrigter and Sulejmani pleased with 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb – UCL news
In the latest round of UEFA Champions League, Ajax Amsterdam managed to cruise to an easy win against Dinamo Zagreb at Stadion Maksimir on Tuesday, October 18.

The Dutch Champions staged an exciting brand of football on the pitch right from the kick-off. Although the Amsterdam giants threatened the hosts following with impressive moves, they failed to take the lead until the break.
However, Ajax took only four minutes in the second-half to break the deadlock. Sulejmani played an impressive through ball to the Boerrigter, who raced towards the box before hitting the bottom left corner of the net.
After the opening goal, the Croatian giants tried their luck on a few occasions. However, the Amsterdammers back-line provided rock solid defence, denying the hosts from levelling the score-line.

Boerrigter expressed his happiness following his side’s win and has claimed that his side can now battle for the second spot.
“We haven't won in six games, so tonight's result is good news. We can now fight for second place in our group and I believe we can achieve it. Overall I'm happy with how I played and how we played as a team here at the Maksimir. I thought our midfield played
especially well tonight”, Boerrigter said.
Sulejmani was also pleased with the victory and was not hesitant to praise Dinamo Zagreb players’ efforts on the pitch.
“First of all I'd like to thank the Dinamo Zagreb players for their fair play tonight and their fans for the great atmosphere they produced. Dinamo are a good team who can score goals, but we defended well. We played well here in Zagreb and deserved to win”,
the Serbian ace said while talking to the media.
Ajax, currently placed second in the Group D, will host Dinamo Zagreb at Amsterdam Arena in the reverse Champions League group stage encounter on November 2.
