The Amsterdammers boss Frank de Boer confirmed the news, and expressed his disappointment over losing his star player to the English Premier League outfit.

summer of 2014.
The English Premier League side has long been linked with the versatile midfielder, but failed to sign the Amsterdammers’ youth academy product, with the club also keen to hold onto his services.
However, reports now confirm that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew’s side made a lucrative initial offer of eight million Euros that could go up to 10 million Euros, which the Amsterdam-based club failed to turn down the offer.
Anita, who has been plying his trade at Amsterdam Arena since making his debut in the 2005/06 season, has stressed that the deal would be finalised in the coming days.
“The clubs have agreed a fee, but I have not. I'm still an Ajax player. I think it will be finished soon, but you never know how it will go”, the midfielder was quoted as saying to the media.
The Dutchman went on to express that he has enjoyed his time in Amsterdam since his youth days.
“I have played for Ajax for 13 years, it has been a great time and I am grateful to Ajax”, Anita concluded.
The Amsterdammers head coach, Frank de Boer, is distraught over the sale of Anita, and has insisted that it is a great loss for his side.
“The clubs are almost finished with the deal. Of course I believe that is very bad. Vurnon is a really important player for us. The season has just started, but there are some things you can’t do anything about”, De Boer said while
talking to journalists.
Anita, who has played over 100 Eredivisie matches while donning the jersey of Ajax, would be keen to complete his move to Sports Direct Arena at the earliest.
The 23-year-old is expected to put-pen-to-paper on a deal that will run until the summer of 2017.
