The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player has expressed his delight at the arrival of the former Liverpool star, and has revealed that the 25-year-old will certainly add more depth in his side’s front-line.
Ajax Amsterdam head coach, Frank de Boer, has revealed that everyone is pleased with Ryan Babel’s decision to move to Amsterdam Arena.
The 25-year-old has plenty of experience under his belt, and the Dutch trainer has admitted that the talented striker will provide more options to him upfront.
“Ryan has played more than forty matches for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 and, after leaving Ajax, has played in two top European competitions. So not only will he add value to Ajax with his playing, but also with his experience. Now that everything
is finalized, he can train with us”, De Boer was quoted as saying to the Ajax’s official website.
The Dutch hit-man, who played over 50 league matches for the Amsterdam giants during his three-year stay at Amsterdam Arena before joining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/TSG-1899-Hoffenheim-c40767 half-way through the 2010/11
campaign.
Although, his contract with the German club ran until the summer of 2015, below par performances in 46 matches forced the club management to terminate the Dutchman’s contract.
The Amsterdammers were in search of an experienced striker in the recently concluded summer transfer window, and managed to lure the 25-year-old to Amsterdam Arena on a free transfer.
De Boer is confident that Babel will adjust quickly with De Joden’s style of play, while revealing that his side is pleased with the Dutch international’s decision of joining the Amsterdam giants.
“Several players are already gone due to international commitments, so we don’t have a match this weekend. That gives Ryan almost two weeks to build up his training. After that, we’ll need to see when he’s ready to play in a match.
I obviously want to discuss that with him. We’re definitely glad that he’s joining us”, the Dutch trainer concluded.
De Boer would be hoping that Babel, who has put pen to paper on a deal at Amsterdam Arena that runs until the end of the 2012/13 campaign, plays an important role for his side, and help them winning silverware.
