Ajax Amsterdam midfield maestro, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eriksen-c9074, has mooted all speculations that were linking him with a move away from Amsterdam Arena in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 20-year-old has been staging scintillating shows for the past couple of seasons that have attracted him immense interest from elite European clubs including the likes of Manchester United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, Bayern Munich
and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the Danish sensation has now dismissed all reports that he could join a top European club in the upcoming winter transfer window, and has made it clear that he will definitely remain at Amsterdam Arena until the end of the ongoing 2012/13 season.
“I've read about it, but they are just rumours. It also depends on what Ajax want. I hope, and I think, I will finish the season with Ajax. Someday, I will take the step [abroad], but I do not know when”, Eriksen was quoted as saying in an exclusive interview
to Goal.com.
The technically gifted midfielder, who made his professional career debut at Amsterdam Arena in January 2010, has thus far donned the jersey of De Joden in well over 100 games in all competitions, netting 23 goals while amassing plenty of assists along the
way.
Although a host of European clubs are interested in acquiring his services, the Danish star has denied naming any potential club he would love to move.
“It depends, of course, on how I feel at that particular time and which clubs come along”, Eriksen concluded.
The Ajax management has expressed keen interest in prolonging the 20-year-old’s stay at Amsterdam Arena by offering him an improved deal, but the midfield maestro has thus far denied putting pen to paper on a new contract.
His current deal at Amsterdam Arena runs until the end of the 2013/14 campaign. However, only time will tell the tale whether the highly talented midfielder continue plying his trade at the Amsterdammers or moves abroad come the end of the season.
