The Danish playmaker has insisted that he does not intend to leave the reigning Eredivisie champions at the end of the ongoing season.
Ajax Amsterdam playmaker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eriksen-c9074, has asserted that he will not leave the defending Dutch champions at the end of the ongoing 2011/12 campaign.
The highly-rated midfielder is said to be one of the best young playmakers in Europe and has been heavily linked with a move away to a top European club.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 all interested in signing the young Danish ace, the 19-year-old seems to be on his way out at the end of the ongoing campaign.
However, the Danish International has insisted that he intends to stay at Amsterdam Arena until the summer of 2013.
“I will definitely not leave Ajax this month, and I probably won't move in the summer either. I have an ongoing contract and I feel like I'm in the right place at the moment”, Eriksen was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
The youngster then went on to admit that he is flattered by all the interest being shown in his services.
“Of course, I'm flattered that these big clubs are watching me. A transfer has to be a real step forward for me though”, Eriksen concluded.
The 19-year-old, who started his professional career at Ajax in the 2009/10 season, has thus far netted only 11 goals in 61 Eredivisie appearances. However, his ability to set up his teammates on a consistent basis has remained the integral feature of his
game.
The Danish ace’s scintillating shows since the start of the ongoing campaign have remained phenomenal. With five goals and 10 assists already to his name, the young playmaker has certainly proved his worth in the Amsterdammers colours.
