The Belgian stopper recently joined the English Premier League side from the Eredivisie champions, and the 22-year-old left-back insists that the centre-back’s move will inspire every player at Amsterdam Arena to perform
better.

for every other player at Amsterdam Arena.
The highly-talented central defender had long been linked with a move away from the Amsterdam giants before the 2012/13 season kicks-off, following his consistent and near to blunder-free performances.

However, the Spurs managed to sign the 25-year-old at the end in a deal believed to be in the region of 12 million Euros.
Blind, who came through the ranks of Ajax’s youth academy and partnered Vertonghen in 25 Eredivisie matches at the back-line, has open heartedly well wished the Belgian international.
In addition, the 22-year-old has also revealed that his move will certainly inspire other young players at Amsterdam Arena to perform at their best.
“It is nice for Vertonghen that a top English Premier League side has bought him. It is also a big incentive for all the other players as well at Ajax”, Blind was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The talented left-back, who has an ongoing contract at Amsterdam Arena that runs until the summer of 2013, went on to confess Vertonghen’s presence will certainly be missed in the back-line.
“Will I miss him? Missing is such a big word. The truth is that everyone goes his own way in football”, Blind concluded.
Frank de Boer, the Amsterdammers head coach, is reportedly in the market to lure a central defender, who can fill in the boots of Vertonghen.
Reports indicate that Ajax are keeping tabs on FC Twente’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Niklas-Moisander-c27919, and one of them could be plying his trade at Amsterdam Arena next term.
