The Russian ace has revealed that several clubs in Europe are eager to acquire his services this summer, but the former ADO striker has insisted he will not decide about his future before the end of the season.
Ajax Amsterdam striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dmitri-Bulykin-c11392, has made it clear that he will decide about his future in May. The Russian ace has an expiring contract at Amsterdam Arena that runs until the summer of 2012.
The 32-year-old joined the Amsterdammers at the start of the ongoing 2011/12 campaign on a free transfer after his contract expired at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/RSC-Anderlecht-c40394. The veteran striker, who never really managed to fit into the Belgian outfit during his three-year stint,
played two full seasons on-loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ADO-Den-Haag-c38221 respectively.
His spell at ADO was extremely impressive, given the club’s stature. The former Russian International netted 21 goals in 30 matches and played an integral role in his side’s success – ADO finished seventh on the Eredivisie table in the 2010/11 season.
Amsterdammers head coach, Frank de Boer, saw the Russian striker as a perfect candidate to provide cover for Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, and managed to lure him to Amsterdam Arena.
Bulykin has thus far done well to justify his role, scoring eight goals in 14 matches while setting up four. However, he has expressed his disappointment with the lack of playing time.
“Ajax is certainly a good club. But I am worried about the lack of playing time I get”, Bulykin was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The 32-year-old’s ongoing contract has a clause that includes the option to prolong his stay for another season. The former Anderlecht striker has admitted that it is a good option that gives both the club and the player to decide about the future.
“That is logical. The option to play another season gives both parties the time to take a perfect decision. I would not have to think about signing a contract extension if I was 22. But now I am 32, and I want to play consistently in the first-team”, Bulykin
added.
He went on to insist that several clubs are interested in acquiring his services, but asserted that he will not decide about his future before the end of the season.
“I will decide about my future in May. Several clubs are interested including clubs from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991. I love to play football. But to tell the truth, I love the game and my life here”, Bulykin concluded.
