The Amsterdammers head coach expressed his disappointment despite the win and insisted that his side performed below par in the second-half.
On Sunday, February 19, Ajax Amsterdam cruised to a comfortable 4-1 victory against NEC Nijmegen at Amsterdam Arena. The Amsterdammers head coach, Frank de Boer, was not completely satisfied and asserted that his side staged a far from pleasing show after
going 4-0 up.

At the half-hour mark, Bulykin netted his second of the evening to make the score-line 3-0. Siem de Jong’s strike in the second-half made it 4-0.

De Boer insisted that his side gave away far too many chances after the half-time break and insisted that his troops need to learn from their mistakes.
“I am not satisfied. We started the match impressively. But we played poorly and gave away too many chances in the second-half. After going 3-0 up, I think everyone started to get a little tired. We must look at our today’s performance and I believe there
is still room for improvement”, De Boer was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The Amsterdammers cameinto this match on the back of a 2-0 defeat against Manchester United in the first-leg of UEFA Europa League’s round of 32 clash.
“I guess the match against Manchester United was still in the legs. But to me, the only thing that matters the most at the end is good results”, the Dutch trainer concluded.
Ajax will take on the Red Devils in the return leg of Europe’s second tier competition at Old Trafford on February 23.
