The Serbian ace has been performing highly since his arrival at Amsterdam Arena, but claims that his performances thus far this season have been the best.
Ajax Amsterdam forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miralem-Sulejmani-c25985, has asserted that he has made a significant step forward and has matured his skills.
The 23-year-old forward arrived at Amsterdam Arena at the start of the 2008/09 campaign after making 34 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Willem-II-c40945 Tilburg.
Since then, he has remained an integral part of the Amsterdammers squad. The 23-year-old has thus far made 91 appearances for the Amsterdam giants, netting 29 goals while providing plenty of assists as well.
Sulejmani revealed that he has made rapid developments since he arrived at Amsterdam Arena in the summer of 2008.
“I have made significant step forward in the last four years or so. My goals are very important for the team. Although I have been playing nicely since I’m in Amsterdam, I believe that this season thus far has been my best time with Ajax”, Sulejmani said
while talking to the media.
The Serbian International then went on to reveal that he wants his side to successfully defend the Eredivisie title.
“My desire is to defend the Eredivisie title. I believe that we can do that as a unit. But it is important that we all play well in order to become the Dutch Champions”, Sulejmani concluded.
The 23-year-old has an ongoing contract with the Amsterdam giants that will keep him at Amsterdam Arena until the summer of 2013. However, after his good consistent performances in the past couple of seasons, the club management is reportedly looking to
renew his contract.
Reports suggest that the Amsterdammers are keen to tie the 23-year-old at Amsterdam Arena until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
Although the Amsterdammers are now anxious to warn off any potential candidates by extending the Serbian International’s contract, it remains to be seen whether the 23-year-old agrees to put pen to a new contract or move abroad for pastures greener.
