http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Southampton and West Ham United have reportedly expressed their interest in the young full-back, and the Danish stopper admits that he is pleased to hear about the speculations.
Ajax Amsterdam left-back, Nicolai Boilesen, has expressed his delight after hearing about several English Premier League side's interest in acquiring his services before the ongoing summer transfer window slams shut.
The 20-year-old full-back, who came through the ranks of De Joden’s youth academy, made his professional debut at Amsterdam Arena in the 2010/11 campaign.
Although, the Danish stopper saw his last season hindered by a series of injuries, making only four league appearances, his limited game time convinced several top flight clubs about his potential.
Arsenal, Southampton and West Ham United have reportedly been interested in luring the youngster away from Amsterdam Arena, while Serie A giants, AC Milan, are also rumoured to be keeping tabs on signing the Danish international
this summer.
Boilesen, who has thus far made 13 appearances while donning the jersey of Amsterdam giants, has revealed that he is only focused on attaining match fitness at the earliest.
“I have not heard anything about it yet. Someone from the Dutch press told me about it 10 minutes ago that is all I know right now. Therefore it is difficult for me to have an opinion on these rumours. For now I am concentrating
on my rehab here at Ajax”, the promising youngster was quoted as saying to ekstrabladet.dk.
Although, the Amsterdammers have yet to hear a concrete offer for the Danish starlet, the young defender has admitted that he is pleased to hear about rumours linking him with top flight clubs in Europe.
“But, I am very flattered if it is true that a Premier League club has made an offer for me”, Boilesen concluded.
The 20-year-old has an ongoing contract at Amsterdam Arena that runs until the end of the 2015/16 season. Reports indicate that the Ajax management will not let go of their prized asset this summer.
However, an offer in the region of three million Euros could tempt the club to cash in on the defender.
