Ajay Jayaram sends Suppanyu Avihingsanon packing in first round clash at French Open Super Series
India’s elite player Ajay Jayaram advanced into Men’s Singles second round after showing his great performance in first round when he toppled Thailand’s Suppanyu Avihingsanon at the Yonex French Open Super Series 2012 on Wednesday, October 24, in Paris.
The impressive Jayaram, who is currently positioned at number 27 in Men’s Singles world ranking, played with impressive precision and control in his shots and managed to send his Thai rival packing in a completely controlled manner.
Indian shuttler was in remarkable form as he played with confidence and control in his shots and easily stamped his supremacy over Avihingsanon in straight games with a dominating margin on score board.
On the other hand, Avihingsanon tried to pull the trigger from opening points but failed to create any difference as his rival was quicker in taking the bird early.
Avihingsanon could not create a strong resistance and lost the match without impressing the local fans.
Jayaram played with phenomenal control in his shots and managed to dictate the pace of rallies from starting points in the first set.
The highly impressive speed and wonderful strategy helped Jayaram to keep his Thai rival in all sorts of problem in the first half.
Jayaram was in strong position all the way to establish a remarkable lead until the one-minute break.
The aggressive Jayaram remained comfortable in the arena after the mid-game interval as he did not lose his focus at any stage.
It was a smooth ride for the impressive Jayaram in the concluding part of opening game and he won it with a staggering margin of 21-16.
In the second game, the confused Avihingsanon was again in trouble as he could not put up strong show against his in-form challenger who was flawless on court.
Until the end of first half, the lofty Jayaram remained consistent on court and managed an impressive lead until on score board.
After the break, Jayaram stayed on track without showing any respect to his challenger and easily took the set with a comfortable margin of 21-17.
Indian shuttler easily ousted Avihingsanon in straight games with a dominating 21-16 and 21-17 margin on score board.
