Ajeet Prabhat Kumbhar wins Boy’s Singles U17 title to earn glory at Amanora Cup 2012
Ajeet Prabhat Kumbhar, who is one of the emerging players in India, made his presence strongly felt as he claimed Boy’s Singles U17 title after beating his lower ranked compatriot Vineet Kambale in the final match of Amanora Cup 2012 on Sunday, December
30, in India.
The incredible Ajeet Prabhat, who was top seeded shuttler in the main draw of the championship, had to put in extra effort and he managed to end up in winning the match in a hard-fought manner in 33 minutes.
Ajeet Prabhat put up smashing show of top quality badminton and remained successful in proving his worth by finishing off the final encounter in three sets with a reasonable 11-21, 21-6 and 21-19 margin on the board.
On the other hand, the fourth seeded Vineet played impressive badminton and took the opening game but failed to maintain his rhythm and lost the set with a decent margin in rubber games.
In the first game, the top seeded Ajeet Prabhat could not find a good start as he remained shaky in his shots placement and remained struggling until the break.
After the mid-game interval, Ajeet Prabhat could not put up strong show and remained struggling all the way. He lost the opening game with a huge 11-21 margin on the board.
In the second game, Ajeet Prabhat played better badminton with outstanding control in his strokes and managed to occupy the driving seat from starting rallies.
The phenomenal variations in Ajeet Prabhat’s shots assisted him to continue his superiority against his challenger on court and he took a wonderful lead until the break.
After the interval, Ajeet Prabhat did not show any sign of confusion as he remained in complete command of rallies and grabbed the game with a one-sided margin of 21-6.
In the deciding game, both boys put up staggering show of attacking badminton with wonderful speed and managed to remain close on the score board in the opening half.
After the ending points of second half, the composed play of Ajeet Prabhat enabled him to maintain his supremacy on court and he took the final set with a tight margin of 21-19.
