However, having earned a decent spot on the Indian ranks, the 23-year-old recently stated that he cannot be too picky about his batting position on the national roster, especially after having an assortment of senior talent.
In his recent comments, Rahane, who has been a highlight batter in the Indian domestic http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kumar-Shri-Ranjitsinhji-c71870 Trophy, cited that during the first few years of the tournament, he opened for his team but later on slipped down to number three position.
However, the batter comprehended that when you have to play International cricket, one should be able to serve at any position.

However, Rahane feels that if he is to secure a permanent slot on the International team, he will have to work hard and keep his focus on cricket rather than thinking about selection issues.
Rahane also revealed that it was an honour for him having been lauded by the nation’s legends, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028, and stated that “when such stalwarts themselves come forward and give you tips... It was a huge thing
for me.”
