Ak Bayonet won't stay on weapon?

Ok, so I went to a gun show to buy a bayonet for my SAR -1 ak and found one. The problem I can't get it to click onto the weapon. It almost seems that something is missing off of the weapon. Anyone have the same problem or any solutions???

I might be wrong.  But I am 99% sure that SAR rifles don't have a bayonet lug.

That bayonet lug is on the bottom of the gas block.  You could find a new gas block with bayonet lug and put it on.

The link above shows how to fix a canted Gas block.  But it shows how to take the gas block off.   You will have to take the front sights off to.  and replace the gas block.  then put the sights back on.

Duct tape.  Works for everything.  Might not look so good, but wrap it real tight with several layers and it will work just fine.
