Akane Yamaguchi ensures her presence in Women’s Singles main round of 2012 Yonex Japan Open
Women’s Singles expert Akane Yamaguchi cleared the qualifying round of the Yonex Japan Open after overpowering Jamie Subandhi in Yoyogi National Stadium, Tokyo on September 18, 2012.
She took just 20 minutes to cast out the US shuttler with an overwhelming result of 21-15 and 21-8.
This win escorted her to main draw where she will swing her arms against compatriot player Nozomi Okuhara.
It will be a memorable contest as both shuttlers have proven their worth with their splendid performance.
Akane Yamaguchi raised her chances to excel in the home event by sealing a straight-set victory in the opening match.
She set the foundation of her dominance by clinching the first match point and then made the best out of this early advantage in the second set.
The unseeded player Jamie was no comparison as she never got into a commanding position throughout this tussle.
In the opening game, the US campaigner slipped straight away in the beginning and could not rise from the dust all the way to game point situation.
