The Nigerian international striker is not a known talent among the German fans, but will be looking forward to make an impact for the River Islanders as they hope to finish fourth in the league standings.
Werder Bremen signed Joseph Akpala from Club Brugge on a four-year deal and the German team have pursued the forward since 2009. The attacker always maintained that he would relish the chance to play in a top Bundesliga club and

he will display his game in the near future and will take the rivals team by surprise.
“It's always good for a striker when he can win the ball and get in around the back of the defenders quickly to get into the right position to score goals. I think that those are precisely my strengths. Hopefully, I will soon be
able to demonstrate that to football fans in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The 26-year-old player said that there is still room for improvement in his game play, and is eager to learn from his trainer and team members. The attacker is keen to get better and help his team win some silverware this season.
“Even if you have been in the business for ten or 20 years, there are things you learn every day. And I am ready to learn day by day, whether it be in training or in games,” he mused.
Moreover, the former Charleroi and Brugge hit-man stated that his main objective for the new season would be to do well for his new side and do what is asked of him by the German outfit.
“My personal goals are the same as those of Werder Bremen,” he finally concluded.
