I'm trying to find a ceremony location in or around Akron, OH. We don't want to get married at a church because we're having a friend get ordained and so we need a place that is non-denominational. Thanks in advance for your answers!!

  1.   If it would not be too much trouble to have the wedding in Cleveland, I would suggest the Rockefeller Park Greenhouse.

The Greenhouse rents its facility to couples as a wedding venue. The greenhouse can accommodate up to 75 people during regular hours (10am - 4pm). Fees for Cleveland residents are currently $150 for a wedding and $75 for photos. Non-resident fees are $175 and $100 respectively. Call 216 664-3103 for more information and for reservations.

You can get to Cleveland from Akron in about 25minutes. Congratulations on your wedding.

  2. There are several places that you can check out in Akron. I would suggest looking at museums and art galleries in the area. Many rent their spaces out and are already equip to handle a crowd of people. Also they come with their own unusual and conversation inducing backgrounds for your guests to enjoy.

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is one of the venues I became enamored with  and I've included the link here for you: http://www.stanhywet.org/

    Hope you find someplace.
