The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ghana-c2905 international is uncertain about his future in UAE despite interest from Emirati clubs to sign him on a permanent deal.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Asamoah-Gyan-c6791 has attracted immense interest after his breathtaking display for Al Ain this season. The striker has been in prolific goalscoring form and has scored 16 times in all competitions for the UAE outfit. Al Ain bosses
are keen on retaining the striker on a permanent basis by paying an additional 3.5 million Euros to his parent club, Sunderland.
Al Ain CEO, Carlo Nohra, claims that Gyan will stay with his club if he were to part ways with the Premier League outfit at the end of this season. He stated that there is nothing to worry about as his side is in the driving seat
to sign the former Rennes man.
While talking to sports website, Sport360, the CEO further added:
“Everyone is declaring their interest in Gyan, and rightly so he is performing very well and everyone should be interested. But we are very comfortable with our legal situation in this. We have a contract in place which has certain
provisions for a permanent transfer so we are in no rush to make the decision now.”
On the other hand, Nohra mentioned that the striker is pleased with his current situation at the club which makes him an unlikely candidate to sign for another Emirati outfit. At the same time, he also confirmed that the final
verdict will come from the player’s parent club and there are slim chances that Gyan will be allowed to extend his stay in UAE.
"The player himself has a role in this and so do Sunderland. The agreement that binds the three of us gives Al Ain priority, but it also gives the player the right to come out and say what he wants as well,” Nohra concluded.
Gyan has had an outstanding spell in the UAE until now and has bagged 12 league goals from 10 appearances. His loan deal will expire at the end of this campaign and a decision will only be made after that.
