Al Baidaa capable of dominating proceedings in Ladbrokesgames.com Handicap at Folkestone
The bettors at Folkestone should concentrate only on the 3-year-old fillies, Al Baidaa and Infinite Hope. Both are unexposed over one mile and four furlongs, but the former boasts slightly more convincing profile. She has done the trick in a similar company
in the past.
So, a chance can be taken on her in the Ladbrokesgames.com Handicap, scheduled to take place at Folkestone on Tuesday, September 18th. The going is good to firm for the class 4 meeting, which will be kicked off at 16:50 GMT.
There are nine runners in the line-up, and everyone will be fully determined to stand first. The ultimate champion of this tough battle will leave the field with a handsome cash prize worth £4,852.
Al Baidaa is performing consistently right from the start of this season. After ensuring a couple of thirds, the 3-year-old turned things around, and bagged a classy win at Chester in June. She raised many eyebrows by upsetting the 3-1 favourite, Kenyan
Cat, in the British Stallion Studs Supporting EBF Fillies' Handicap.
Roger Varian’s trainee was under tremendous pressure inside the final furlong, but she managed things wisely to keep herself ahead. Consequently, a classy 1/2-length success came to her pocket.
Owned by Saif Ali, the filly perpetuated her good work to seal a couple of runner-up positions lately. After seizing the second spot at Wolverhampton, she did the same thing at Lingfield earlier this month.
After so many striking acts, Al Baidaa’s confidence would be touching the seventh sky. The daughter of Exceed And Excel has multiple good things to her credit, and will be a hard nut to crack.
The main danger is Infinite Hope, who has an equally impressive record, if not better. The 3-year-old was a narrow winner here in late August. In the Ladbrokesgames.com Maiden Stakes, Luca Cumani’s trainee lived up to the expectations, and secured the top
rank by a neck’s distance.
She is surely capable of producing even better outcomes, but today’s race seems to be Al Baidaa’s moment. The Roger Varian-trained is slightly more experienced, and should be preferred in a pressure situation of this kind. We wish the best of luck to all
the horses.
