  1. the whole man-made global warming/climate change is such a bunch of lies and deceit and it just amazes me the amount of people who buy into it. What makes them want to believe lies??

And algore, good grief. his carbon footprint for his home is equal to that of 20 average homes, and his personal carbon foot print is at least equal to that of 20 average individuals. he's a fraud, a liar, a fake and a phony (but one gigantically successful scam artist.)

  2. Even if al Gore , has tried to mint cash with measures he doesn't beleive in don't you think that he has opened the eyes of eartling 's to an event which might be a possibility. It's a blessing in disguise. we can ourselves see the effects of global warming . Why not use it for a purpose better tha thinking hes trying to mint money. open your eyes to see the view point.

  3. Not the first time I've heard or read of that. It may or may not be true, I have no idea. It doesn't affect the fact that global warming is a problem and we have to wake up and take responsibility for our actions. If what he says wakes a few more people up, then all the better. If he is also guilty of contributing to the problem, he'll have to answer for it.

The real question, is: what are you and I doing? Are we contributing to the problem, or are we contributing to the solution?  Will you allow some story about Al Gore to keep you polluting the atmosphere?

  4. The article is one viewpoint from the far right.  Have you purposively investigated alternate viewpoints of any controversial issues?   I don't mean opinions, but fact-filled serious discussions?  It is very instructive on how to judge what you read.

Personally I believe nothing written by the far left or right - too much is left out or distorted and the biased, abusive language is sickening.  But I do read, a lot, never forming an opinion from only one set of data or opinions.

As to warming and drilling.  You know, for certainty, that drilling now rather than later, simply means we run out quicker.  Having gasoline prices like Europe 5 years ago will push the US kicking and screaming, into responsible energy use and alternative techniques.  Drilling now means higher profits for some, and the public figuratively eats their ice cream at the expense of starving later.  Besides, if we do not keep it in reserve, how do we fuel our armed forces?

Warming?  That it does not exist was the early argument.  That has so been discredited that their fall-back argument now is that it is not our fault.

Consider a glass of ice water.  It stays cold only as long as the ice exists, sucking up the heat as it melts.  And it takes up a lot of heat.  Once melted the water quickly warms.

That's the Arctic Ocean.  The ice will go, it will no longer reflect heat or soak it up.  The dark water will quickly warm and change ocean currents.  This is not hypothetical.

So ask yourself "Which is safest,  do something now, even if it is little to alleviate the trend, or do nothing?"

Oh, and if you want to really be afraid, consider the huge stores of methane hydrates that exist off continental shelfs.  If they warm just a bit, they effervesce methane into the atmosphere - a greenhouse gas far more effective than CO2

  5. Is he working out of his home?  How many people are working with or for him at his home? What business function is he doing out of his home?  Maybe Al's home is a business?

When one has only part of the story it can be easy to make judgment.

  6. Global Warming is propagated by the Left and they don't believe it. They need U to support their non drill policy and keep us poor in fossil fuels. U young people will not be able to have a car . If the Left has there way most of us working people will not be able to afford a car. They are trying to take away many of your freedoms and make US socialist.
