Al Udeid gets vote over Mystical Man in 32Red.com Nursery at Wolverhampton
Technically, Filfil has the best handicap form on offer. Stepping up to seven furlongs, Secret Symphony also has scope for improvement. But in Tuesday’s 32Red.com Nursery at Wolverhampton, the real clash will be only between Al Udeid and Mystical Man.
Having opened his account here a couple of weeks ago, Al Udeid is in good shape, and looks to be in a good position to make an impression in the AW nurseries. The 2-year-old made his debut at the end of September, when finishing fourth behind Line Of Reason.
He built on his decent debut act, and presented an excellent show the following time. On his latest start, he raised many eyebrows by beating the 11-10 favourite, Star Of Rohm, by one and a half lengths in the E.B.F./32Red Casino Maiden Stakes.
It was an impressive act. He made all, and was in full command in the middle stages. Staying on well in the final furlong, the 8-1 chance secured the first rank with ease.
After getting off the mark, the Kevin Ryan-trained looks the type to make his mark in this company, and gets the preference over Mystical Man, who boasts a similarly attractive profile.
Half a dozen horses have entered the race. In pursuit of a handsome prize of £3,881, they will compete over a distance of seven furlongs and 32 yards. According to the plan, the class 4 contest is going to get started at 17:00 GMT.
Mystical Man also showed plenty of improvement last time. The 2-year-old was unlucky on his first two outings, finishing fifth and sixth respectively. Not losing determination, the James Tate-trained unchained the shackles, and got off the mark last time.
On July 20th, he beat Laudate Dominum by a length’s distance to capture the top rank at Pontefract. The son of Sakhee´s Secret has never run here, and this is really a concern.
Although he is open to more progress after winning at Pontefract, his lack of experience about the Wolverhampton conditions makes him only the second best choice after Al Udeid. Out of others, no one makes any appeal. We wish the best of luck to all.
