Al Wasl football club release statement against Al Ain’s Cosmin Olaroiu - UAE football News

He also demanded action from UAE FA to make charges against Al Ain and take note of the words used by their Romanian manager, Cosmin Olaroiu.

This verdict received massive criticism from the Al Wasl ranks, prompting the club to release a statement in defence.
“The Media Office of Al Wasl Football Company denounces the actions of Al Ain’s Romanian coach, Cosmin Olaroiu, at the sixth round of the Etisalat Cup that occurred last Saturday in Al Ain, where the coach and his assistants celebrated in a derogatory and
disrespectful manner following a goal that was scored by Al Ain.”
The UAE club also announced proper action against their rivals and urged FA to also consider Olaroiu’s statement, coming in response to Maradona’s remarks.
"We are patiently awaiting the Pro-League Committee’s decision, and are confident that they will take the necessary action against the wrong-doers following the irresponsible acts that Al Wasl fans fell victim to.” The statement concluded.
Al Wasl are currently experiencing a barren run and find themselves third on the league table with seven points from four games.
