Bayern Munich have suffered a blow as  http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. This happened in the clash with Napoli on Friday which
the FC Hollywood side lost 3-2.
The former central midfielder and winger got injured in the first-half of the game in Arco, after giving his team the lead by a 17th minute goal. He was initially thought to be injured for six to eight weeks after the
immediate consultation with the club doctors.
The further tests on Monday confirmed that the best option for the defender is to undergo surgery. The official website of the Allianz Arena side gave the statement that Alaba will go under the knife on Tuesday.
The Champions League finalist sustained a stress fracture in his left foot and will not be flying to the pre-season tour of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926. He is also set to miss the start of the season along with fellow team-mate Rafinha.
Moreover, the Bavarian giants have good news that Brazilian international, Rafinha will not need an operation. He was expected to be out of action for four to five weeks after suffering a ligament injury on his ankle against the
Naples based club.
After the setback of David Alaba and Rafinha, Bayern are believed to be short of cover for defenders. With the upcoming season approaching they were rumoured to be in the transfer market for a new full-back.
This now seems unlikely as the club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has refuted the speculation of Bayern making last minute attempts to buy any cover for the injury hit players. The chief seems to be happy with his current squad and
is only in the market for a holding midfielder.
