Bayern Munich left-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Alaba-c10416, is determined to shake off last year’s disappointment by starting the forthcoming season on a high.
The Bavarian giants finished runners-up in three competitions. Despite impressing and earning rave reviews, Jupp Heynckes’ side ended their 2011/2012 campaign with nothing to show for their attractive football.
Bayern Munich lost the league title to Borussia Dortmund, who finished eight points above them after dominating them throughout the season. The Black Yellows had the upper hand in the DFB Pokal final as well. Jurgen Klopp's side
gave FCB a good old thrashing to lift the domestic cup.
Die Roten’s fortunes in Europe did not change either. Despite putting in some impressive performances, the Munich side surrendered the UEFA Champions League trophy on penalties to a very negative http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 side.

Bayern’s left-back David Alaba, who was suspended for the final believes his side cannot keep dwelling on what happened last season. He insists now it’s time to focus on the forthcoming campaign, and he will be training hard to
win some silverware for his side.
"We have focus on the future, set ourselves new targets, and reach them, of course. I will give it my best shot in every training session and try and put myself forward," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Austrian international believes that in the new season everyone has to prove his worth to the team once again, players cannot rest on their laurels. The performances from last season have been wiped clean and now it’s to look
forward to the new domestic and European campaign.
"It is pre-season and everyone starts again with the slate wiped clean. In the new season, every player has to prove himself again,” he concluded.
The young left-back’s performances were pretty impressive last season, and he must have given Jupp Heynckes some relief as Bayern have been without a proper left full-back for a few years.
